WALLEYE
Walleye can be fished for year round and you can be put on the best bite available depending on the time of year and water conditions.  While there aren’t as many of the truly large walleye of years gone by, the overall population is excellent and fish to 8 lbs are common.  For numbers and for some large fish May thru July can be excellent.  For a shot at real pre-spawn trophy Dec. through March can be best.  Kimo fishes for walleye on the Columbia River, Banks Lake, Moses Lake, and Pothole Resevoir. In the interest in preserving the walleye species he will not keep any walleye over 8 lbs.
